Consider using a topical NSAID, or steroid, post SLT laser

The Science behind the Tip

There is widespread variation in post laser treatment regimes. In a recent randomized, double-masked, multi-center clinical trial looking a selective laser trabeculoplasty ( SLT) efficacy at 12 weeks, patients were assigned to use 5 days of topical non- steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAID); steroid or placebo. Those who were assigned to the NSAID or steroid groups both showed lower IOP and more change from baseline compared to placebo at 12 weeks.
